Message from the Amer Fakhoury Foundation (AFF) and daughters of Amer Fakhoury who was illegally detained in Lebanon, tortured, and ultimately died due to abuse at the hands of the Lebanese government and military:

Each year, more and more Americans are effectively held hostage by corrupt governments seeking to gain leverage over the United States. Unfortunately, the US government’s response projects a lack of the will to fight to bring every one of our Americans home.

On December 14 at 1:30 (EST), AFF will stand in front of the White House and represent those who are being, or have been, illegally held overseas and their families. We welcome families and friends of those who have similarly suffered, as our father and family did, to join us in highlighting the government’s need for action.

As the holidays have arrived, many families are again spending another year without their loved one. When you gather around the table this year, be thankful for the family that is surrounding it and remember that there are families who lack this privilege. The Amer Fakhoury Foundation will never forget and we will continue to shed light on the illegal detention of Americans around the world.
